On August 2, 2025, Dilip Buildcon Limited, through its DBL-RBL joint venture, declared itself the L-1 bidder for a significant metro rail project in Gurugram, Haryana. The order, valued at Rs. 1503.63 crore including GST, was awarded by Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL), a domestic entity overseeing the project.

The contract involves the construction of a viaduct and 14 elevated stations spanning Millennium City Centre to Sector 9 over a stretch of 15.22 kilometers, including a spur to Dwarka Expressway and ramp to the depot at Sector 33. Additionally, architectural finishing works and an underpass at Bhaktawar Chowk are included, with a total of 27 stations across the corridor connecting Millennium City Centre to Cyber City as well as the spur from Basai Village.

The project is to be completed within 30 months under an item rate contract. The announcement led the company to close its trading window till 48 hours following the public release as per the regulations. The promoter holding stands at 63.1%, with no related party transactions associated with this order.

Dilip Buildcon Limited currently holds a market capitalization of ₹6,708 crore. The stock trades at a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 14.6, with an earnings per share (EPS) of ₹51.3. Other significant metrics include a return on capital employed (ROCE) of 14.7% and return on equity (ROE) of 9.82%. The book value per share is ₹346, while the dividend yield is 0.22%. The stock’s price to book value ratio stands at 1.32, and the enterprise value to EBITDA (EV/EBITDA) ratio is 5.97.

From a technical standpoint on the daily timeframe, the stock’s relative strength index (RSI) is 34.81, with the 50-day and 200-day exponential moving averages (EMA) both close to the current closing price, indicating consolidation near these key technical levels.
